The moment an agent gets their license they start receiving an never ending barrage of completing messages...like...buy leads, form a team, join a team, work on your brand, create a website...etc etc. Its no wonder why there is a whole generation of agents who have never been told let alone KNOW how to proactively lead generate. The simple fact is, there are only 5 things in real estate you must master in real estate...and none of those things have anything to do with buying leads and branding (etc). OH, the best part proactive lead generation doesn't cost you anything.

Are you passive, waiting for things to happen...or are you proactive where you make things happen? Chances are you are passive. What is your mindset about lead generation? If you are buying leads, dripping on leads etc etc you are a passive lead generator. Would you be surprised to learn that one of the biggest reasons agents fail (its reported that 85% fail in less than 24 months) is because they never learn to be PROACTIVE lead generators and as a result never proactive for other critical aspects of their business and often personal lives. It really can be that simple, if you are proactive in life and business you will have an almost unfair advantage. Especially in a time when some many real estate professionals (and sales pros in general) have never learned how to be proactive. What is your mindset about using real estate scripts? You would probably be surprised to learn that most agents avoid using scripts at all costs. Strange, don't you think? The reality is that every professional in every conceivable industry uses scripts. Consider this, when you speak to your dogs vet, did you know he is using a script? He is saying to you what he knows conveys the message most effectively. Why is it that agents will avoid using scripts and think that they can somehow 'create their own' scripts? Why bother trying to create a script when you can simply replicate what has proven to work in all markets, all prices ranges and all market conditions. Get ready to take notes!
